What this site records, in plain language.

There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to
This site uses no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, and no cross-site trackers. Nothing you do here is shared with another company or used to follow you anywhere else. One cookie is set: a short-lived, signed value that lets me tell a real submission from an automated one. It holds no identifier and is used for nothing else.
What is measured
Which pages are opened, in which language, roughly where from, on what kind of device, and how long the page stayed open. To tell two visitors apart, an unreadable fingerprint is derived from your address and browser using a secret that never leaves my server, mixed with the calendar date - so today’s fingerprints cannot be matched against yesterday’s. Your address itself is never stored.
The one thing kept in your browser
Your browser also stores a random identifier of its own. It is what lets me see, if you later write to me, which pages you had read beforehand - so I can pick up where your thinking left off rather than starting from nothing. It is created here, never sent anywhere else, and cannot identify you outside this site. Clearing your site data removes it, and switching measurement off below stops it being sent.
What you send me
If you fill in a form, I store what you typed: your name, your email, your WhatsApp number if you gave one, and your message. I use it to reply to you and to keep track of our conversation. It is not sold, shared, or added to any mailing list.
How long things are kept
Page records and the identifier above are kept for ninety days, then deleted automatically. Visitor fingerprints stop being matchable after a day. What you send through a form is kept while we are in contact and for as long as I might reasonably need to refer back to it.
Turning measurement off
Measurement respects your browser’s Do Not Track setting. You can also switch it off just for this site with the control below, which stores a single flag in your own browser. With it on, no page view, no reading history and no identifier is recorded.
Having your data deleted
Write to me and say so. I will delete everything you have sent and confirm when it is done. You do not need to give a reason.
